I have been a busy girl this week. First, I have been spending quite a bit of time with a new friend.Yes, a new ANGORA friend! Thing 1 and I picked her up this weekend from Soulfood Alpaca Garden. We thought it through and decided that our apartment couldn't handle an alpaca, so we chose a smaller friend instead.
The bunny, heretofore to be referred to as "Pumpkin" by me and "The Poop Factory" by Joe, is quite happy in our house. In general she knows where to "drop her pellets", and she has found a nice little reating place next to Joe's album collection. I think that he sweats bullets every time she sits there, but he tells me its not an issue. What a sweet guy.
In knitting news, I finished the wildly pink fingerless mittens. They are warm, pink and tres belle. The level of "pinkness" apparently cannot be captured on film, as I found when I tried several times without success. As you look at this picture, just imagine the pink turned up by three degrees. They are positively blinding.
And, of course, as one project is finished, another must begin. I recieved this in the mail.I feel a flower basket coming on. hopefully by next week, I will have some progress pictures to display.
Last, but never least, is Mom's incredibly exciting blue noro sweater. I think that Mom is getting tired of hearing about the monotony of this pattern, so this is for her, my most frequent reader. Love you Mom! the pattern is really starting to come together; I am actually able to see how it will be worn. This might end up being an interesting pattern after all.
